I've been ignoring my poor Vox ... See, I really like my Vox, cause it looks pretty and has neat features like the 'audio linking' on my profile, and the cool thing that lets me show the covers of books that I'm into ... The problem is that I've had a marvelous LiveJournal for so long that it's hard to think about converting ... Plus, Vox, I must admit that outside of the LiveJournal you already knew about, I've been seeing someone else as well. Her name is Mog, and she scratches itches that I never even knew I had. It's nothing personal, Vox - we can still be friends. We'll just be relegated to occasional postings about nothing used purely for wasting time. I love you enough to share music, though - which is the greatest gift I can share with anyone. As such, I've added some tuneage to this here posty. For all of your listening pleasures, enjoy the gift of the screamo blues stylings of Tiger Bear Wolf's "You Play Guitar," featuring the most lethal lead guitar work I've heard in years.
Mmmmm, music. Uploaded a few newbie tracks tonight - "Vicarious Atonement" from The Mars Volta's Amputechture and "To Spit a Sparrow" from Planes Mistaken For Stars' Mercy. Otherwise, 'twas a silent night spent on a quick trip to Target (needed to get a copy of 'Where the Sidewalk Ends' for the kids) and lots of listening to Landon scream-crying. For now, though, the kiddies are sleeping, the cats are acting like morons, the wife's pouring Pepsi, the day's syndicated Gilmore Girls has been watched and removed from the DVR, and more Netflixed episodes of Oz are about to be taken in. With that, I bid a fond adieu for the evening.
So this is Vox, eh? Pretty spiffy - I'm digging the ability to upload songs. The ability to actually show covers of books I have on here is rad, too --- and I'm pretty excited about the 'picture gallery' feature, too. Still, having a LiveJournal and a MySpace page already makes me wonder how much time I'll actually spend on this thing. Hopefully, I'll find more folks with Vox accounts that I know, or at least folks worth adding to my little 'list of people who's stuff I read' thingy.
... or, in Vox-speak, I've got to sing out to the world ... It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood / A beautiful day in the nighborhood / Would you be my? / Could you be my? / Won't you be my neighbor?
